Contemporary Services Corporation Promotes Mark Glaser to Senior Vice President of Operations

Contemporary Services Corporation (CSC), which provides event security and crowd management, has promoted Mark Glaser to of senior vice president of operations. Before his promotion, Glaser was vice president of operations and regional manager for the West Coast branch offices. His promotion to senior vice president was announced at CSC's annual regional meetings by Chief Executive Officer Damon Zumwalt, who is pleased to welcome Glaser back after his recent motorcycle accident.

Glaser began his CSC career in 1987 while attending the University of Northern Colorado. In 1989, he moved to Miami to assist with CSC's Joe Robbie Stadium operation, where he developed crowd management plans for the new Miami Arena and the 1989 Orange Bowl. Mr. Glaser then moved back to Colorado in 1991 to work in his family business but continued to also work as a CSC supervisor on a part-time basis. He coordinated security plans for the Papal Visit events in 1992 and returned to full-time management the next year at CSC's new Jacksonville office, where he developed crowd-management plans for the Jacksonville Jaguars, Jacksonville Coliseum, Convention Center and Performing Arts Center. He then returned to Colorado in 1996 to assume the Denver branch manager position where he oversaw operations at Coors Field.

A veteran of 10 Super Bowls, Glaser completed the Disney Institute's people management class and received the 1998 CSC Manager of the Year award. Additionally, he wrote and presented the NFL's Best Practices for Stadium Security and has been the guest speaker at IAVM's International Crowd Management Conference and Arena Management conference. Glaser is a member of Major League Soccer's Safety and Security Committee, a member of IAVM's Life Safety Council, and holds ICS/NIMS 100, 200, 700a and 800a certifications.
