Uniden Launches First Fully Integrated Wireless DVR Video Surveillance System

Uniden America Corporation has unveiled the Uniden Wireless DVR HDD (WDVR), the first fully integrated wireless DVR video surveillance system designed specifically for DIY small business and homeowners. The Uniden WDVR is available for sale for $499.99 exclusively through the Apple Online Store or via the Uniden website.

The WDVR sets a new benchmark in security, as it is the only wireless DVR video surveillance system that offers truly simple and fast setup with intelligent, state-of-the-art capabilities to monitor homes or businesses from the palm of its users’ hands via the Uniden WDVR mobile app.

“The Uniden WDVR is the first fully integrated wireless DVR video surveillance system on the market,” said Mark Lessor, product manager for new product development at Uniden. “Users simply mount the wireless cameras, plug in the system, and download the free app to begin viewing live video within minutes. Featuring two (2) indoor / outdoor dual-motion-sensor cameras with built-in microphones, one (1) terabyte (TB) hard drive system that holds more than 120 days of video recording capacity, and wireless camera transmission up to 500 feet complete with LED night vision, the WDVR delivers state-of-the-art protection and an unparalleled video surveillance experience.

Users download the free Uniden WDVR mobile app from either the Apple App Store or Google Play Store to activate and watch live video, review footage, and receive customized alerts while on the go. The app gives users:

  • Live viewing of the system’s four (4) camera channels, with the option to view all channels simultaneously in quad-view or one-at-a-time in full-screen mode by “double tapping;”
  • Full control of system settings, including recording parameters and video resolution and quality; and,
  • The option to receive push notifications and / or email alerts of motion detection events.
