Lenel and AlertEnterprise today announced an alliance to resell AlertEnterprise's Physical Identity and Access Management (PIAM) software to support an advanced PIAM and compliance solution. Lenel is part of UTC Climate, Controls & Security, a unit of United Technologies Corp.
I had the pleasure of attending last night's Angel's baseball game with Altronix and LRG here in hot, muggy California. The air-conditioned suite at the stadium was a much-appreciated detail. As I heard the crack of the bat, the cheer of the crowd and the buzz of conversations that were going around me, I couldn't help but notice how baseball and security are related.

Kicking off a tradeshow on Monday seems a little bit strange to me, and apparently many others who were at the show. It certainly doesn't diminish the quality of product exhibits, though it seems that a lot of attendees might have used Monday as a travel day to California.
