The Glasgow Science Center, one of Scotland’s premier visitor attractions, has upgraded its aging analog/VCR CCTV system with IndigoVision’s complete end-to-end IP video solution. The 49 camera system, which was installed by IndigoVision’s local partner SCS Security Design, has transformed the center’s surveillance operation.

A leading grocery chain's corporate security and loss prevention departments had requested an overall upgrade to the region's facility surveillance systems. These facilities included grocery stores with gas stations and regional distribution centers. The departments were directed to integrate the most cost-effective progressive technology, increase the camera count and be able to easily relocate existing cameras.
When the state of Florida mandated stricter surveillance standards for casinos and other gaming venues, Tampa Bay Downs needed to find a cost-effective way to increase the frame rate and image clarity of its archived video.

Intransa, provider of simple, green video surveillance solutions for physical security, recently announced it had completed relocation of key headquarters and development functions to a new facility located in Cupertino, Calif.
Major airports typically have more than 1,000 cameras installed at and around their buildings and runways. Their security personnel often monitor facility perimeters with CCTV cameras as well, but these devices may be inadequate in truly keeping a close eye on potential risks.

With more than 53 million students going back to school, a national survey released recently shows that more than one out of 10 teachers believe their school is unprepared to protect kids. The results are part of the second annual ADT Back-to-School Survey conducted by Zogby International.
Even with the economic downturn, a new report from UK-based IMS Research is forecasting the world market for video surveillance equipment will grow by 3 percent in 2009.
