Friendly Faces

What a terrific tradeshow last week in Las Vegas. ISC West was amazing. Sort of reminded me of most of the 25 ISC West tradeshows I’ve attended before.

My high point of the show were all the friendly faces.

Before attending an event Tuesday night I bumped into Chris Lanier, president of LRG, a manufacturer’s rep group. Business has been good, the company is in a new facility in Jasper, Texas, and good things are happening. Chris and his team have embraced

social media and have set up a studio. I’m going to Jasper for a live interview. Watch for it on the LRG Network.

Several years ago I hooked up with Eddie Reynolds, president of Illuminar. It has been exciting to follow and watch Eddie grow and prosper. Her success is well deserved. It was so fun to chat with her. What a terrific example of hard work and discipline.

By the way, Eddie’s mother used to call her Ed. Aren’t mothers terrific?

Being naturally curious, a few years ago I stopped a group of me on the show floor because I wanted to know their story.

You’ve seen my friends dressed a bit different than you or I.

I learned more that day than expected. My new friend(s) gave me a welcome education.

KV Swami is technology and security savvy, but to me he is an amazing friend and example of goodness. I’m always blessed to visit with this group at various security tradeshows.

As always, it’s good fortune to bump into Martin Gren, founder of the IP camera. Obviously a pretty smart guy but down to earth and truly an interest in overall security solutions.

A last memorable reconnection after two years in quarantine, I walked by Charlie Howell, a system integrator. Charlie just lives down the street from me in the Dallas area; funny meeting him in Las Vegas.

Is the pandemic over? I sure hope so. It’s been too long between friendship connections.

Our team is assembling a product showcase. Our sponsors of the eNews product want to keep the fire burning from a great tradeshow experience. Look for it’s release April 3 and April 6.

Great to see all of you. And success this year with your newest solutions.
