Acoem Names Mike ODea Managing Director Of Acoustic Threat Detection
His role will include working with system integrators, public safety agencies and enterprise security organizations.

Mike ODea has been appointed managing director of Acoem’s Acoustic Threat Detection (ATD) business.
In his new position, ODea will oversee the business and work with system integrators, public safety agencies and enterprise security organizations.
ODea has more than 20 years of experience in public safety and physical security. His background includes surveillance projects and integrations that bring together information from multiple technologies for use by security personnel and first responders.
Acoem describes its ATD system as using edge-based AI to locate gunfire and direct a PTZ camera toward the detected source.
