Stanley CSS Purchases Two Sonitrol Franchises

Stanley Convergent Security Solutions Inc. (Stanley CSS) announced the purchase of Sonitrol of Oklahoma City and Sonitrol of Tulsa. Sonitrol of Oklahoma City was founded in 1979 and Sonitrol of Tulsa was founded in 1975. The franchises service Oklahoma City and Tulsa respectively and the surrounding areas. The sale includes mostly commercial accounts including retail, restaurant, industrial, financial and education customers, as well as government and residential accounts. Terms of the sales were not disclosed.

"The Sonitrol of Oklahoma City and Tulsa acquisitions allow us to increase our presence and density in the Oklahoma area, where we have two existing Stanley CSS offices. As we continue to grow, we look forward to working with our new Sonitrol customers by upholding Stanley CSS’s commitment and dedication to operational excellence across the five customer touchpoints: account management, installation, service, monitoring and billing,” states Tony Byerly, President of Stanley Convergent Security Solutions North America and United Kingdom Direct.

“The acquisition of the Sonitrol of Oklahoma City and Tulsa franchises is a natural fit for us as a provider of Sonitrol products and services, with over 52,000 Sonitrol customers nationwide.  We’re excited to be adding the Sonitrol of Oklahoma City and Tulsa customers to the Stanley family,” continues Byerly.

Sonitrol impact activated audio verified monitoring can determine if a break-in is in progress or if a false alarm has occurred.  Sonitrol technology delivers one of the highest number of police apprehensions and one of the lowest false alarm rates in the security industry --  160,000+ apprehensions and counting since 1977.

Sonitrol of Oklahoma City and Tulsa customers will be serviced by the existing Stanley CSS offices located in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. Rob Cass, one of the previous owners of the franchise businesses, will be joining Stanley CSS as the District General Manager for the combined businesses in Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
