ICF International Executive Named to Steering Committee of GWU Homeland Security Policy Institute

Andy Robinson, senior vice president for ICF International, a provider of consulting services and technology solutions to government and commercial clients, has been named to the steering committee of The George Washington University Homeland Security Policy Institute (HSPI).

Founded in 2003, The George Washington University HSPI is a nonpartisan "think and do" tank whose mission is to build bridges between theory and practice to advance homeland security through an interdisciplinary approach.

The HSPI Steering Committee is a distinguished group of leaders who provide strategic direction to the institute. The bipartisan group includes leaders who are, or have served as, secretary of Homeland Security; attorney general; secretary of the Army; national security and homeland security advisors to the president; directors of the Central Intelligence Agency, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Federal Emergency Management Administration; inspectors general of the Departments of State and Homeland Security; ambassadors; military flag officers; governors; members of Congress; chief executive officers; university officials and faculty; and leaders of state, local and nongovernmental organizations.

“It is a great honor to be chosen to help steer such an impressive group,” said Ellen Glover, executive vice president for ICF International. “Andy is an outstanding professional, and we congratulate him on this well-deserved appointment to the HSPI steering committee.”

Robinson was named to The Federal 100 in 2010, Federal Computer Week magazine’s prestigious list of the top 100 executives from government, industry and academia that have the greatest impact on the government information technology (IT) community. In receiving the honor, Robinson was recognized for leading an ICF International division that has focused not only on matters related to IT, but also enterprise resilience. Additionally, his teams support program management for the National Infrastructure Protection Plan, the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services's Office of Fraud Detection and National Security, Transportation Security Administration's Office of Security Technology and energy cybersecurity initiatives. Robinson is the current chair of the Industry Advisory Council.
