Retired FBI Agent to be Board Chairman for LIGATT Security International

LIGATT Security International has appointed recently retired FBI Special Agent Gregory Scott as the company's newest chairman for of its board of directors.

Scott, a 23-year veteran of the FBI, recently retired from the Los Angeles office. Scott worked in Los Angeles and the Washington, D.C., area, where he held many leadership positions in administration and conducted criminal investigations. He graduated from graduate of the University of Michigan with a bachelor’s degree in general studies, with a concentration in accounting. He recently managed a cyber-squad taskforce that investigated the exploitation and sexual abuse of children in southern California, resulting in successful outcomes and awards from the United States Attorney's Office.

Scott comments, "I am very honored to join LIGATT Security's board of directors. This opportunity could not have happened at a better time. I have known [LIGATT Security President and CEO Gregory] Evans for five years. Before building a solid relationship with Mr. Evans I reviewed his background, and I can say that the rumors about Mr. Evans are unsubstantiated and without merit. He is an authentic, hardworking and talented individual."

Recognized and commended as a team leader, Scott led an inspection team that audited FBI field offices throughout the United States to evaluate efficiency and effectiveness of the financial management function. He supervised the Los Angeles FBI "Innocent Images" National Initiative Undercover Operation and consulted with the Office of International Operations. This program achieved 54 arrests, 29 information and indictments, and 33 convictions. Scott is currently the lead liaison with local and federal authorities stemming from the attempted computer security attack on LIGATT Security.

"I was pleased when Mr. Scott and I spoke almost a year ago about him joining the board of directors," Evans said. "He brings a lot of value, education, connections and experience to LSI.  The wealth of knowledge he has provided in the last week alone could not be learned in a classroom.  By summer of this year, our board will include: former law enforcement, business and marketing professionals, in addition to retired military intelligent officers."
