Speco Technologies Unveils Highest Resolution DVR

The new D16DS DVR, which provides a thirty percent increase in “full D1” resolution for analog cameras, is now available from Speco Technologies.

Speco Technologies has announced the immediate availability of its new D16DS DVR. The DS is ideal for a wide range of applications, offers a simple and cost effective solution to high resolution challenges, and provides a 30% increase in resolution – the highest available for analog CCTV compared to D1.

Optimized with 960H (960H represents the number of horizontal pixels in the CCD image sensor) the DS enables the DVR to record and playback high resolution images of up to 700 TVL. The DS delivers enhanced recording performance and provides greater flexibility in camera configuration by delivering vivid images with a higher resolution.

The DS DVR supports real-time 30FPS per channel 960H recording, and utilizes Speco’s Digital Deterrent technology – to help assist in preventing crime. The DS has a complete suite of EZ Wizards to facilitate an easy and seamless networking and installation. The EZ Setup Wizards allow an installer to open a “Wizard” to walk through simple point and click steps for a successful connection to the internet. The one click wizard guides the set up essentials of the system in a logical and easy to understand sequence.

The DVR will get an IP address, DDNS name and even use UPnP to port forward the router. Another big differentiator of the DS unit is the support for an optional USB wireless access point for viewing and configuration. A wireless access point-to-point connection to the DVR from a mobile or network device is used for viewing and configuring the DVR where physical access to the DVR is limited or restricted.

The DS is a 16 channel 960H DVR with 30FPS real-time recording software with hard drive storage capacity ranging from 500GB to 9TB, includes Mac & PC compatibility and offers a 3 year warranty. The unit can be remotely viewed on iPhone, or Android, with free iPhone app available from iTunes.
