TRI ED Technology Roadshows Meet and Exceed Dealers Expectations

TRI-ED Technology Roadshows Meet and Exceed Dealers’ Expectations

The landscape of our industry continues to shift and change with the steady introduction of new products and technologies.

TRI-ED Technology Roadshows Meet and Exceed Dealers’ ExpectationsAs part of our commitment to helping dealers and integrators adapt to evolving technologies, TRI-ED offers an array of ongoing training events and Counter Days in each of its 60 branch locations. Another important component of our training initiatives is TRI-ED’s Technology Roadshow Program. These free, one-day events offer a full day of training classes and presentations, followed by a Vendor Expo showcasing the latest product offerings from many of our vendor partners.

The Roadshows traditionally focus heavily on the exploding IP Video sector and deliver primarily video/IP-centric trainings and the hands-on demos dealers need to successfully compete in this growing business sector. The 2014 Technology Roadshow training offerings, however, now span ALL product categories—CCTV, IP Video, access control, fire, intrusion, sound, communications, structured cabling and home automation.

TRI-ED hosts these one day Technology Roadshows to familiarize customers with the latest technologies in the marketplace. These training and Expo events are very helpful to TRI-ED’s dealers and integrators and educate them on the constantly changing products and technologies impacting our industry.

The Technology Roadshow has recently made stops in Chicago, Orlando and Long Island, and the upcoming schedule shapes up like this:

Austin, Texas Roadshow September 3, 2014 at Holiday Inn Austin Midtown

Houston, Texas Roadshow October 7, 2014 at The Hilton North Houston

Burbank, California Roadshow November 12, 2014 at Los Angeles Marriott Burbank Airport

The Roadshows kick off at 8:30 a.m. with registration and breakfast, followed by a variety of training classes and presentations. Lunch is served at noon, followed by additional presentation sessions that run until 4:45 p.m. The Expo Hall opens at 5 p.m. and features over 25 exhibitors and a dinner reception.

TRI-ED’s Technology Roadshows are instrumental in helping customers stay ahead of the rapidly changing technologies, particularly those impacting the video security market. All security professionals who want to ensure they keep current with the latest products and applications should plan to attend when the Roadshow makes a stop in their market.

The Roadshows are attracting large crowds and are indicative of the need for continual education and training. TRI-ED is pleased to meet that need. Space is limited so attendees are encouraged to pre-register at www.tri-ed.com.

As North America’s largest independent security distributor, TRI-ED provides state-of-the-art solutions from the industry’s leading manufacturers of CCTV, IP Video, access control, fire, intrusion, sound, communications, structured cabling, and home automation products. With over 60 locations across the U.S. and Canada, TRI-ED offers personal customer service, technical systems support, flexible credit terms, next day shipping, ongoing training programs and the industry’s richest rewards program.

Over the years, significant advancements have been made in video coding standards — including H.263, MPEG formats, and H.264—alongside compression optimization technologies developed by IP video manufacturers to improve efficiency without sacrificing quality. The open-source AV1 codec developed by the Alliance for Open Media—a consortium including Google, Netflix, Microsoft, Amazon and others — is already the preferred decoder for cloud-based applications, and is quickly becoming the standard for video compression of all types.
