Mercury Awarded ISO 9001:2015 Certification for Quality Management System

Certification encompasses Mercury’s entire portfolio and represents third-party validation of the company’s long-standing commitment to quality, on time delivery and customer service satisfaction

Mercury Security today announced it has earned ISO 9001:2015 certification for its Quality Management System. ISO 9001:2015 is a globally recognized quality management standard developed and published by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

The certification process provides a model for companies around the world to build an effective quality management system. This standard is based on a number of quality management principles including a strong customer focus, the motivation and implication of top management, the process approach and continual improvement. Using ISO 9001:2015 helps ensure that customers receive quality products and services.

“Mercury has always operated under a credo of continuous process improvement in order to consistently

deliver value-added products that meet and exceed the needs our partners and their end customers.  The ISO 9001:2015 certification underscores our commitment to ensuring the highest quality in Mercury products, as well as increased operational efficiency and enhanced accountability,” said Matthew Barnette, President of Mercury Security.

Mercury’s ISO 9001:2015 certification (AGS/US020519-1) became effective in February 2019 and was issued by American Global Standards LLC, a registrar of Quality and Environmental Management Systems to ISO 9000/ISO 14000 Series requirements providing independent, third party assessments of management systems for all industries.

The scope of certification is applicable to the following areas:

  • Mercury’s design of innovative OEM hardware for facility security and access control (including controllers, readers, integrated products and accessories; and
  • Mercury’s flexible, adaptable hardware built on an open architecture platform (that is designed specifically for access control based on emerging technologies, changing industry standards and evolving network environments).

ISO 9001:2015 requires Mercury Security to regularly review and improve its systems and processes, document key business procedures, communicate and train staff in the entire contract life cycle, assure compliance to statutory and regulatory requirements, and aim to enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the quality management system.
