Live from ISC West: Day 1 Recap

The first day of ISC West 2023 is in the books, and it’s safe to say that vendors have brought their A-game to Las Vegas. The booths of this year’s Live From partners—NAPCO Security, Alibi Security, Vistacom, RGB Spectrum, and DoorKing—were swamped all day long. Here’s a brief recap of just a few highlights from each partner’s presence at the show. If you’re still putting together your itinerary for Thursday and Friday, make sure to pay these companies some notice.

NAPCO Security (Booth 12031) company debuted a brand-new booth packed with integrated security solutions including commercial fire and intrusion alarms, access control systems, mechanical and electronic locking products, and architectural hardware. Featured products include AirAccess, a cellular access control system; StarLink MAX Fire & FirstLink FACP, a fire solution with built-in cellular communication technology; the Enterprise Integrated Access Control System; the LiveSaver Series by Marks USA, and more. On Thursday, 3/30, from 2:30–3:30 PT at the Venetian Level 1 Room 101, it will also be holding a lecture about Prima, its latest all-in-one panel solution.

Alibi Security (Booth 31075) is showcasing its solutions on the ISC West show floor for the first time in over a decade. Featured products include ALIBI Arsenal, a free marketing and sales tool that helps independent developers elevate their brand and grow their business. It offers services like branded resources, including a free website with the company brand; a customer reviews engine that solicits reviews from customers and highlights the best ones; turnkey email marketing campaigns with professional templates; and a touch-free video blog and social marketing campaign.

The Alibi Cloud VS, meanwhile, offers camera-to-cloud video surveillance capabilities that can apply to organizations and budgets of any size. Its centralized management functionalities allow users to view cameras from single or multiple locations from one dashboard. By sending video straight from the camera to the cloud, it eliminates the failure point of a malfunctioning hard drive or broken recorder. It can also help save your organization funds on the up-front hardware investment. Drop by the booth for a demo!

Vistacom Control Room Solutions’ booth (Booth L28) is located in the lobby just outside the entrance to the show floor, giving it a prime location for anyone looking to peek in. The SecureView Command Center Visualization Kit offers an easily-assembled video wall and preconfigured display with advanced processing capabilities and touch-panel control. Visitors will also have the chance to win a Deluxe Cigar Humidor and Whiskey Glass!

RGB Spectrum (Booth 7050) is showcasing its latest visualization technology for GSOCs, EOCs, PSAPs, and traffic management centers. It’s also displaying video display and distribution solutions to assist with assessment, analysis, decision-making, and response. Featured products include the Zio 4000 Video Wall Processor, the XtendPoint KVM-over-IP Extender, and the QuadView IPX Multiviewer.

Finally, from DoorKing (Booth 23015), National Sales Manager Jac Whitmire provided a demonstration of the wedge barrier product designed for use by car rental agencies. A single arm with a lit sensing edge illuminates between red and green to indicate when a driver can pass through. It also features a sensor that automatically lifts the arm if it senses contact on the way down. The ground-level wedge plate raises and lowers to prevent cars from passing through. The wedge plate is in its final stages of being crash-rated for up to 30 mph.

During the next couple days, be sure to follow @SecurToday on Twitter for news updates, photos, and product demonstration videos from the show floor. On to Day 2!
